Moon-Uranus in Synastry

In Astrology, the Moon represents our emotions, while Uranus represents instability, independence, and originality.

When your Moon makes a hard aspect (conjunction, square, opposition) to another person’s Uranus, the relationship is likely to be unstable and subject to sudden, unpredictable changes. As the Moon, person, you find the Uranus person highly exciting and electrifying at first. You were probably attracted to each other suddenly, and may have blurted out your feelings to one another immediately. However, over time, the Uranus person may begin to withdraw affection. Why is this?

Well, the Moon person has a way of making the Uranus person feel “trapped”. The Uranus person resents any hint of emotional dependency from the Moon person, which can to an on-off energy between the couple. When the Moon person begins to show dependency, the Uranus person withdraws, but may return after he has had enough distance. The Uranus person’s behavior may make the Moon person nervous and put her on edge. As such, the Uranus person is likely to see the Moon person as immature and overly-sensitive, while the Moon person is likely to see the Uranus person as unstable and unreliable.

The trine and sextile aspects between one person’s Moon and another person’s Uranus are easier to handle. This aspect indicates sexual attraction, as well as excitement and fun. You allow each other freedom in emotional expression, and encourage each others’ independence. You feel emotionally liberated by one another. This aspect keeps things from getting dull and boring, which goes a long way in a long-term relationship.
